Sweet Sunny Days

It has been an extremely strange winter here in North Carolina! One day its 65 degrees & sunny then the next day its 35 & snowing! I love warm days, so I decided to give the park a shot! We have a park about 2 miles from our house so it was close enough if Bryson didn't like it we could easily come back home! They have a track to walk on, basketball court, swings, slides, monkey bars & jungle gym, so there is something for everyone. We did a few laps around the track & decided to check out the swings! Bryson LOVED them! We also attempted the slide. He was a little unsure about the slide at first, but so was Elmer! They both quickly loved it! I cant wait for more park adventures!

On a very, VeRy, VERY sad note...I have to go back to work this coming up Monday! I am not looking forward to it AT ALL! Hopefully the new schedule will work out for all of us! I cant stand to not be with my sweet boy everyday! Luckily I only work 4 days a week, so I will get to spend Friday, Saturday & Sunday with my sweet fellow! Please say a little prayer for us, me especially, as I go back to work :*(



Smiles, Snow & Shots

Last weekend, we took a little trip to Williamsburg, VA. We had a great time! It was Bryson's first time out of North Carolina & he got to see his first snow! We did lots of shopping, eating & exploring the town. It was VERY cold & VERY windy on Sunday. I think this was probably Bryson's first really cold day!

We came home from Williamsburg on Monday night. We were home in time for Bryson's 1st Valentine's Day! He is Mommy's Valentine! We found a deal on picture coffee mugs, so we made all the grandparents a coffee mug with pictures of Bryson on them & filled them with candy! They all loved there sweet surprise :)

Yesterday the weather was so yucky! It was cold, rainy, windy, sleeting & finally SNOW!! I'm not a huge fan of snow, but I did want Bryson to be able to wear his snow suit at least once this winter (of course we forgot to take it with us on vacation last weekend...we didn't think we were going to get to see any snow!) So, Mommy bundled Bryson up & took him outside to enjoy his first snow at home :)

We didn't have the camera but Elmer LOVES the snow! He loves to go out on the back porch & dig all the snow up, try to bite the snow that's falling on him & (his favorite) for us to make small snowballs to throw at him as he catches them & eats them! ;)

Today, we had to go to the doctor for Brysons 2 month check up! If you cant tell by the pictures our sweet boy is starting to fill out with chunky cheeks, a belly & lots of rolls on his legs!! We all placed bets on what we thought Bry Bry weighs now...my guess was 9 lbs 6 oz & Daddys guess was 10 lbs...needless to say... We were OFF! Our chunky monkey is now 10 lbs 15 oz! He is still on the small end of things, but he is doing great with height & weight! I was so used to him being so small the over 10 lbs has taken me by surprise! He wasn't a "happy camper" this morning when we got to the doctors office. Bryson & another baby were having a screaming contest with each other! He is usually a VERY happy baby, so he must of had an idea of what was in store for him :( He had to get 2 shots & a liquid solution (which he didn't mind the solution at all...he takes medicines like a champ!)

2 Months Old (2/9/12)

Cant believe our sweet baby boy is 2 months old! Where has the time gone?? Bryson is still mainly wearing newborn clothes very few 0-3 month clothes. They are starting to get a little snug so before long he will be in his 0-3month clothes :) He is sleeping much better! He usually sleeps 5-6 hours at night before he wants a bottle, but he quickly goes back to sleep after a diaper change & a bottle. He smiles when you talk to him, loves to coo, plays with his hands & LOVES his swing!

He's even starting to get chunky cheeks ;)

His 2 month check up is this coming Monday, February 20th

Battle of the Blues

Tonight is the big game Duke v. UNC! For those of you that don't know...Mommy is tarheel born & tarheel bred & Daddy is 100% Duke blue, so as for Bryson this is a HUGE issue with Mommy & Daddy! Neither one of us want him to pull for "the other blue." So, I got Bryson dressed this morning & he quickly told me who he pulls for!! I will let you be the judge....

Almost 2 months old!!

Where has the past 2 months gone??? I cant believe our baby boy is almost 2 months old. It seems like we just came home from the hospital. Pregnancy & 2 months with a baby has flown by, but have been the best days of our lives! (For those of you that don't know...I LOVED being pregnant!) Bryson still isn't sleeping through the night yet, but we are trying new things to see what works the best to get him to sleep the most during the day. It hasn't been too hard on me during the week & Justin on the weekends to get up with Bryson. Luckily he usually eats & goes right back to sleep. His new favorite thing to do it play on his "fun mat" & smile at himself in the mirror! Elmer has been great with him the whole time, but gets even better every day! He now will let Bryson lay on him & takes his ball to Bryson wanting him to throw it! Before long Elmer & Bryson will be playing together ;)

Our Sweet Boys

For those of you that don't know Elmer, our westie, was our first "child". He is spoiled rotten, loves to go on walks, go "bye bye", ride in the car, go swimming at the lake, & loves to play fetch. Well, we had no doubt that Elmer would be a GREAT "big brother." He is very protective over his "little brother" and makes sure that everything is just right.
